Do I need an account?
No. Folio needs no sign-up or login. Your saved papers, tags, and settings live on your device.
How do the AI features work?
AI features (summaries, ask-a-paper, translate) are optional and off by default. During the beta they run on your own Anthropic Claude API key, which you enter in Settings and which is stored only on your device. There's no subscription and nothing to buy inside the app. Get a key at console.anthropic.com.
Is my data private?
Yes. No ads, no tracking, no data selling. See our Privacy Policy for details.
A paper won't load or the feed is empty.
Folio pulls live from public research APIs, which occasionally rate-limit or go down. Pull to refresh, or try again shortly. Check your internet connection if it persists.
